We are often asked how to care for our sheepskin products. We advise treating sheepskin and suede garments before wear with a suede protector to guard against showers and everyday stains. If your sheepskin coat gets wet, allow to dry naturally. You will then be able to rub any water spots out with a dry sponge.
For stubborn stains or marks we always advise a specialist dry cleaners, however, please ensure they are experienced in cleaning sheepskin.
Sheepskin rugs can be washed on a hand wash cycle or on a low temperature using a non- biological washing powder. DO NOT USE biological washing powder, soap flakes, soap, soap based powder, or conditioner on sheepskin products. Adding 1 tsp of glycerine to the water helps to keep the leather supple. Allow products to dry naturally, when sheepskin rugs are wet stretch from side to side and end-to-end to keep shape. |
